2023-2025
“bless this death” is the loose title for the collection of work made 2023 to present. it explores drawing and painting techniques, mostly gouache and pastel on paper, to allow the subconscious to emerge, sharing surreal landscapes and abstract representations of moments of ritual, rupture, and dreams. and they honor the reality of inner worlds as tangibly as the external, providing space to understand the forces that shape us in times of intense transformation.

ILLEGIBLE LOVER is an extracted grimoire page recording the saving of a life through no concept, nor strategy, nor reasoning—but through the complete validation and embrace of what feels good. And the understanding that this raw, completely unintelligible sense of eroticism is—in fact—direct coordinates on a map of a land I haven't visited yet, at least not one my conscious brain knows. These fits of the illegible, and their understanding as truth, are the stuff of world building as real as any brick and mortar. Our emotions as revelations, our courage to exist outside of language—revolution.
