Esoteric Counseling: Tarot + Astrology for Creative Liberation
Jillian Adel is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist, mystic and anarchist. She explores the intersection of the archetypal and the intimately personal through ritual as a means of creative liberation.
She is currently the IN-HOUSE ESOTERIC COUNSELOR at The Wuum—an intentional community space for artists, healers and revolutionaries in East Hollywood—where she brings her practices of counseling astrology, tarot and ritual to the community. Her work blends ancient Hellenistic methods, Hermetic philosophy, depth psychology, art-making and psycho-magick. Her embodied devotion to the decimation of oppressive structures defines her goal of assisting others in deconstructing their psyches from capitalistic programming and rebuilding a more equitable, non-hierarchical world in alignment with nature’s laws through individual self-sovereignty.
Although she has flowed through spiritual communities in Los Angeles for the better part of a decade and got her first Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck when she was 14, her esoteric studies began in earnest when she began learning the Western Mysteries and practicing ceremonial magic in 2023 at 22 Teachings School of Hermetic Sciences. She is mentored by 22’s Head of Faculty and Master Tarot Reader, Naha Armády, and has also studied under: James Jude, Laetitia Barbier, Bel Senlle, Jeramie Bellamay, Dr. Mary Antonia Wood, and Richard Tarnas.
She was recently a 2026 scholarship recipient from the Washington State Astrologers Association to attend Northwest Astrological Conference in Seattle and has been a teacher’s assistant to master tarot educators, Naha Armády of 22 Teachings and James Jude of Tarot Arts and Los Angeles Festival of Tarot.
